Finding your Path

Finding your Path

It takes courage to share your life story and your struggles. In therapy at Touchstone our goal is to make sure you feel heard and supported, and to create a safe space to facilitate a deeper understanding of yourself and your patterns. We are here to help you find answers to the questions that matter to you, and empower you to make the changes you seek. Whether you are struggling with a difficult time, unrelenting anxiety and worry, or challenges in your relationships, I can provide you with useful tools that will be valuable throughout your life.

Goal-Oriented Treatment

Goal-Oriented Treatment

Our main task is therapy is to create a safe and collaborative alliance with you that allows you to move towards your goals in life. We work together to explore your strengths as well as places that keep you stuck. We help you get in touch and make sense of your feelings, thoughts, and actions in your relationships and to gain more agency and flexibility in your life. We help you gain deeper understanding of your patterns at the same time as we work to change these patterns by bringing behavioral changes to your life.

Approach to Therapy

Approach to Therapy

We believe in people’s inherent ability to heal and be creative, vibrant, and capable of love. As human beings, we do much better when we feel supported, heard, and understood. Without touchstones of connection we are bound to be lost. Touchstone Psychology therapists have extensive training and experience in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including a number of evidence-based protocols for specific problems and symptoms.

The models of psychotherapy we use include:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Complicated Grief Treatment (CGT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy

Honoring your Unique Journey

Honoring your Unique Journey

We approach therapy from a position of cultural humility, and value inclusivity and appreciation for various parts of personal identity. We strive to create a safe and welcoming space for people of various backgrounds, honoring places and cultures they come from or ways they love or build relationships.
