Katya Gruzglina, MFT-LP, Therapist
Katya specializes in helping couples and individuals navigate their relationships and build stronger connections with themselves and others. She believes that a compassionate and trusting therapeutic relationship forms the foundation for healing, offering you a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and identities. Katya is LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, and sex-positive, and supports couples who are exploring or already practicing ethical non-monogamy (ENM) and other non-traditional relationship structures.
Katya’s background in the performing arts informs her work as a therapist, with a special interest in helping creatives navigate the unique emotional and relational challenges of artistic careers. Her approach is rooted in experiential models like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), while incorporating somatic work to deepen awareness of how emotions are experienced in the body.
In the therapy room, Katya brings warmth, empathy, and a genuine presence, working collaboratively to help you explore behaviors, thoughts, and feelings that might be keeping you stuck. Together, you’ll build awareness, agency, and the tools to move forward with compassion and confidence, cultivating deeper intimacy, resilience, and connection in your life and relationships.
