I have extensive experience in different approaches to psychotherapy and am most grounded in the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) model. EFT helps you identify behaviors and thoughts that impact relationships and your connection with yourself and others. I am a certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor and the Executive Director of the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. My interventions draw upon attachment science, evidence-based methods, and contemplative practices.
As part of a mixed-race, multicultural family, conversations about race, culture, gender, and diversity are frequent in my life. Being an immigrant myself, I understand the challenges of immigration, acculturation, and overcoming obstacles. I bring cultural humility and sensitivity into my work. I am fluent in Russian and English, which allows me to connect with diverse clients.
I value the courage of self-expression, creativity, openness, curiosity, and heart-centered action. I believe we cannot lead others to places we haven’t been ourselves, so I aspire to practice what I preach. Many of the images on this website were painted by me. As a lifelong student of contemplative practices, meditation, and movement (including yoga and dance), I aim to bring vibrancy and inspiration to my life. Balancing my responsibilities as a mom of two young children and my professional career keeps me humble, flexible, and empathetic to others’ experiences.
I am a clinical psychologist licensed in NY and NJ, and I provide telehealth therapy in Florida. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia. In addition to my private practice at Touchstone Psychology, I serve as an Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU Langone Health.
I was a founding member of the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at NYU Langone, where I worked with military veterans and their families for nearly 10 years. I’ve worked with a diverse range of individuals and couples, including professionals, CEOs, creatives, police officers, and military personnel. These experiences have taught me to honor human resilience and the innate longing for connection and growth.
